Fire Safety

A CONTINUOUS siren means EVACUATE the building

1. Leave the building quickly and quietly by the nearest available exit

2. Follow instructions given by the security staff or fire marshals

3. Do not re-enter the building until informed to do so

An INTERMITTENT siren is an ALERT signal. Be prepared to evacuate at any time should the signal change to a continuous tone.

DO NOT use the lifts.

Internet Access

We will be able to supply log in details for the Wi-Fi at the venue on the day.  The venue has good Eduroam coverage too.  If you need log in details please ask when you register.

Lifts

The lifts are located straight ahead as you enter the Owen Building (please note the Main Entrance is on Level 5).

The lift controls are on a touchscreen in the lift lobbies. 

Location of Toilet/Changing Facilities

Male, female and disabled toilets are situated outside Hallam View near the UKS reception. There are also baby changing facilities.

Unfortunately there are no gender neutral toilets.

Parking

The are several car parks near to Sheffield Hallam University – please visit their website for information. *Please note there are some changes in pricing at NCP car parks, so please check on the NCP app before arriving*

Prayer Rooms

There are various prayer rooms on the Multifaith corridor on Floor 2, which are clearly signposted.

Quiet Room

There is a designated quiet room in Room 226 on the Multifaith corridor on Floor 2. There are individual seats with plug sockets and a lamp with dividers enabling people to have space for themselves.

UKS Reception

The UKS reception will be located outside Hallam View on Level 6 (where the main exhibition space is being held).

On arrival, please visit reception to obtain your name badge and conference pack.
