Fire Safety

A CONTINUOUS siren means EVACUATE the building

1.1 leave the building quickly and quietly by the nearest available exit

1.2 follow instructions given by the security staff or fire marshals

1.3 do not re-enter the building until informed to do so

2 An INTERMITTENT siren is an ALERT signal. Be prepared to evacuate at any time should the signal change to a continuous tone.

DO NOT use the lifts.

There are four emergency exits from the Atrium exhibition space on Level 2. There is also an emergency exit on the Multifaith corridor.

Internet Access

We will be able to supply log in details for the Wi-Fi at the venue on the day.  The venue has good Eduroam coverage too.  If you need log in details please ask when you register.

Lifts

The lifts are located at the read of the foyer, straight ahead from the main entrance. The main entrance is on Level 5, so you will need to get the lift to Level 2 (Atrium) where the registration desk, the main exhibition space and Pennine and Norfolk Lecture Theatre are. The Peak Lecture Theatre is on Level 5.

The lift controls are on a touchscreen in the lift lobbies. 

Location of Toilet/Changing Facilities

Female standard toilet facilities are located on Level 2 on the left as you enter from the Owen Building and on Level 5 in Hallam Kitchen/Hallam Café.

Male standard toilet facilities are located on Level 2 on the left as you enter from the Owen Building and on Level 5 in Hallam Kitchen/Hallam Café.

Unfortunately there are no gender neutral toilets.
